Why you only see your own classes

Teachers and Form Masters see their own classes and subjects only. Not the whole school. This is deliberate — it keeps your screens short and keeps other teachers' marks out of your hands.

You will see a small chip near the top of the console showing which classes you are currently scoped to.

What decides your scope

Three fields on your staff record, set by your administrator in People → Staff:

• Subjects — the subjects you teach
• Classes — the classes you teach them to
• Form class — the class you are form master of, if any

Everything follows from those. Your student list, the classes offered when you take attendance, the subjects offered when you enter marks.

A class or subject is missing

Work through these in order — the cause is almost always one of them:

1. You are not assigned to it. Ask your administrator to add the class or subject to your staff record.
2. The subject is not offered to that class. Subjects are offered per division and programme in Classes & Subjects. If the class does not offer the subject, nobody can enter marks for it.
3. Marks are locked for the term. Once results are locked ahead of report cards, marks entry closes for everyone. The page will say so.
4. You are looking at the wrong term. Check the term shown in the console against the term you mean.

Being a Form Master

A form class adds to your scope rather than replacing it. You keep your teaching subjects, and gain, for your form class only:

• Attendance — the daily register
• My Class — a summary of your class: attendance, students at risk, outstanding work, and a log for discipline incidents
• Report cards in bulk, and remarks for your class
