Welcome to mDigital SIS
What the system does, how it is organised, and a five-minute tour.
mDigital SIS keeps one record of your school — students, staff, attendance, marks, fees and report cards — and gives everyone the slice of it they need. Teachers see their classes. Parents see their own child. You see everything.
How the system is organised
Your school lives at its own web address, something like
yourschool.mdigitalsis.app. There are three ways in, and they are separate on
purpose:
| Who | Where they sign in | What they get |
|---|---|---|
| Staff | /login |
The console — the full working system |
| Students | /student |
Their own results, homework, timetable and fees |
| Parents | /parent |
The same, for each of their children |
Only staff use the console. Everything in this track describes the console.
The console in one minute
Down the left is the sidebar. It is grouped by the kind of work you are doing:
- Overview — Dashboard and Analytics
- People — Students, Admissions, Staff, Users & Access
- Academics — Attendance, Discipline, Assessments, Resources
- Planning & Setup — Timetable, Classes & Subjects, Academic Calendar
- Results — Academic records, Report cards, End of Term
- Finance — Fees, Billing
- Communication — Messaging, Announcements
- Admin — Settings
You will not see all of these. The sidebar only shows what your role allows. A Teacher sees a much shorter list than a School Administrator, and that is working as intended — see Roles: who can do what.
At the bottom of the sidebar, every staff member — whatever their role — has My record, their own personal HR file.
Press Ctrl+K (or just /) anywhere in the console to search for a student
or jump to a page.
A note on wording
This guide uses the standard Ghana Education Service wording: student, class, subject, report card. If your school is a crèche or primary school you will see Pupil instead of Student; a tertiary institution sees Level, Course and Transcript; a training institute sees Trainee and Group. The system picks this up from the school types you chose at signup. The screens are the same — only the labels differ.
Where to go next
If your school is brand new, start with Your first week. It walks the five setup steps in the order that works.
