School profile and branding

Your name, crest, colours, cover photo and contact details.

Sidebar → Admin → Settings. Requires the settings permission — in practice, a School Administrator.

Settings is divided into sections.

School profile

Your school's identity, and the one thing worth completing before you print anything. It feeds:

  • the header of every report card
  • every receipt you issue
  • the sign-in page your staff, students and parents see
  • the parent and student portals

Set your full name and short name, crest or logo, phone, email, address and motto. Logos are resized in your browser before upload, so a photo straight off a phone is fine.

Brand colours re-tint the console and the portals. Pick something with enough contrast against white — the report card and receipts are printed in black and white as often as not.

Cover photo appears behind the sign-in page. Optional, but it is the first thing a parent sees.

Registration fields

Controls which fields appear on the student registration form and which are required. Turning off what you do not collect makes enrolment much faster, and you can turn a field back on later without losing anything already entered.

School setup

  • Setup profile — the preset chosen at signup, which decides things like whether exam numbers are used
  • Currency — what amounts are displayed in
  • Attendance threshold — the attendance percentage below which a student is flagged as at risk on the Dashboard and in Analytics

Messaging channels

How the school sends things out — email, and SMS if your school has the SMS add-on enabled. If you do not see a channel here, it has not been switched on for your school; contact your operator.
